JAKARTA, INDONESIA – The Indonesian National Police (Polri) and China’s National Narcotics Control Commission (NNCC) have forged a stronger strategic alliance to combat transnational narcotics crimes.
The bilateral meeting held at Polri Headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday marked a crucial step in enhancing cross-border law enforcement cooperation between the two nations.
Both sides agreed to intensify intelligence sharing, joint investigations, and technical cooperation to dismantle international drug syndicates operating in the Southeast Asian region.
Polri stated that drug trafficking is a transnational organized crime that poses a serious threat to regional security and the younger generation. Collaboration with NNCC is vital to cut off supply chains and precursor smuggling routes.
The NNCC delegation expressed its appreciation for Polri’s commitment and affirmed China’s readiness to support capacity building and real-time data exchange.
This partnership is expected to strengthen regional stability and contribute to a drug-free Asia.
